Gold Vermeil Oak Leaf pendant

Small 18ct gold vermeil on solid sterling silver oak leaf pendant is carefully crafted from a real oak leaf found on a tree in a small hamlet in The Chilterns, Hertfordshire.

The original leaf was delicately impressed into silver clay to capture the intricate detailing. To create the smaller size the original was 3d scanned, therefore keeping all the fine details in the smaller version once it was cast in recycled sterling silver. Once finished the tiny leaf is plated with a high quality thickness of 3 microns of 18ct gold.

Imprinted with Caroline's distinctive maker's mark, "CHS," and the quality assurance stamp 925. Your acorn pendant will arrive in her signature gift box, embossed with the Notion Jewellery branding in silver. 

It can be paired with other nature charms from my woodland jewellery collection and works perfectly with the small acorn charm.

How to care for your gold vermeil jewellery
Gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a high-quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold (3 microns) is coated upon sterling silver. Taking good care of your gold vermeil jewellery will ensure it preserves the longevity of the piece.

Make sure to store it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. We would also recommend that you remove your gold vermeil jewellery when bathing or applying perfume as this can cause it to have a dull sheen or in rare cases can cause the gold plating to wear off more quickly.
