Parking

We recommend the Town's main carpark known as Cornwall Meadows Carpark or Waitrose Carpark. This council owned carpark is only 70p for 3 hours or £2.70 all day.
Please see the map below for the two walking routes from the carpark to the shop. Either through the town, or a riverside walk along the River Great Ouse. 

For those with Blue Badges, we recommend the very well placed double yellow lines on the edge of Well Street. Please do make sure your blue badge and clock are prominently displayed.

There is also paid parking available in the White Heart Pub carpark opposite - free for users of the pub otherwise paid on an app, roughly £2.50 for 4 hours

Disabled Access

Please note that the building is several hundreds of years old, built long before disabled access. It is a primary aim of ours to make it as accessible as possible in time, but unfortunately for now there are many steps.
There is a standard step up to the front door, 2 steps to the till area. The steps to the first floor for courses and Fibrecraft areas are standard stairs. The steps down to the lower floor to access Stitch Apothecary are steep.
Freya Jones herself has mobility issues and appreciates this frustration. In time we hope to add wheelchair lifts (planning consent allowing) but in the immediate future we can help as much as possible by taking photos, bringing stock down for you to look at and squish and generally being as helpful as possible despite the charming original features!
