Collection: Clare Tebboth
Clare's daily walks with her dog have fuelled a fascination with the ever changing plant and bird life in the Buckinghamshire countryside and resulted in a collection of paintings documenting the natural world.
Using highly pigmented watercolours on 100% cotton paper, each painting goes through a process of careful colour selection to ensure that it has a unique colour palette of its own to match the mood, season and nature depicted. Working expressively, using large brushes dripping with water, colours are allowed to mingle and create new and often unpredictable effects. Her use of drawing gum provides an underlying structure to control this loose effect.
Clare hand gilds each painting with real gold or metal leaf to spotlight the birds often depicted in her work
